Fair in Saalig

The town of Saalig was first mentioned in 1279 as Salech after its location on the willow grove. Saalig lies 510 - 560 m above sea level and stretches out into the source of a small valley that drains into the Eisenbach. The two-sided forest-strip village used to have many half-timbered houses. Saalig is separated from Hermsgrün and Wohlbach by the ridge of the Galgenberg.
